Mstrlnk digi out to Akai DPS 16 digi in

I've got a problem linking the Masterlink to my Akai DPS16.

Maybe someone on this board can help me!



I've got an RCA cable coming from my digital out on my MAsterlink to the digital in (inputs 9 and 10) on my DPS16 to transfer a few tunes.

My patch screen on the Akai does not show a default route from L and R digital to 9 and 10 tracks, altho the manual says it should! When I try to create a patch, it routes the signal thru the mixer bus? and then onto
tracks up to and including 7 and 8, but not tracks 9 and 10.

Then it won't record onto those tracks, altho the input signal
registers.

I've recorded at 24/96 on the link and attempting same on Akai.


IS there some sort of mismatch between these two units?


Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

i had that unit,but should'nt you be using a spdif cable?rca cables are not meant to transfer digital messages.
