MRL Test Tape

Hey guys. I just thought I should share this with you.

I just got my MRL tape (Magnetic Reference Labs Test Tape) from MRL in the mail today. I can finally align my tape machine properly!!

What I don't understand is, why am I so excited by something that most people would view as incredibly dull? I felt like it was a minor Christmas when I saw my package from MRL on my door step!

When did I turn into such an audio dork?!?! Why do I enjoy soldering wires, aligning tape heads, hooking up rack gear, and wiring patch bays??!?!

Is there something wrong with me?

I'm afraid I got the audio sickness.

Yeah, man, cool!

I just set up my 388 today,... aligned & calibrated,... it was quite a task, but it's best to be confident that it's performing to it's optimum, and that the signal I put into it is basically what I get out of it. Fun? An adventure!
