Mr8-tracks 1-6 to 7/8 problem

This may be a CF-card incompatibility issue. Use only CF-cards approved by Fostex. The MR-8 supports more brands and CF-card sizes with the version 1.20 firmware installed. I suggest you upgrade if you haven't already done that. What version firmware are you using in the MR-8? CF-card brand, size etc.?

How is the project you are trying to bounce down configured? You may also be overloading the tracks.

problem

Hi Nils
Im still just uusing the card that came with the mr8. ive never ever had a problem with it,and ive had it almost least a year now
i have recorded tracks 1 to 6,
and just get horrid noise when i bounce them all to 7 and 8
ive no idea what to do about that.
what i usually do(cos i run out of time)is record 1 to 6 onto mini disc,,
then scrub 1 to 6 and record it all back on as a stereo track,,and start again
i used extended play this time so i wouldnt have to do that.
but im getting the noise
odd huh?
thansk for the reply mate

do not use this, wont be able to go to a cd, only cassette tape not a 16 bit file, try reformatting your card......

hi mate!
Im afraid you have lost me there man? What do you mean?
Thanks
JimmyD

sorry not clear

you might wnat to try and reformatt your cf card.... should resore it to its original form....

i was speaking about recording in extended mode...

to burn a cd the bit rate must be 16 bits...this is the normal setting
if you use extended the only thing you can do is move it to a cassette tape....

the bit rate is too small, wont burn to cd....

mr8

hi mate
i wasnt aware of that. thanks a lot.
ALthough,,,
i did save a song to MD before and then had it burned onto cd for me at a friends studio. Hmm,,,odd ?

thanks again for the reply!
