I was here a while back about the hard disk in my MR8. It was suggested that I replace the disk which I did (same exact HD). After exchanging the units I placed the unit in disk format mode which continued and continued for 72 hours. I finally shut it down and put the old disk back in which worked pretty good for a while. Now, all of a sudden, when I try to record I'm getting a horrible pumping sound and some digital chatter. I have once again switched the units but it's been 24 hours with no end. Am I doing something wrong here. I know I connected it correctly so that isn't the issue. Please help if you can.
