MP3s -how to copyright ?

Hi,
I play in a band and we intend to put up MP3s on our site. How can we copyright them ? I understand it's impossible (almost ?) We don't want to sue anybody just want to make sure a tune we've done isn't released by another band. We are a latin, latin-jazz band from Cal;cutta, India. If anyone's interested I'll let you know when we put them up on our site

I don't know about it being "impossible". I know it's about $30 bucks per piece of work. I have a link to detailed information about copyrighting musical works. When I get home I'll post it for you.
