mp3 RECORDER advice for band practice

Hi there,

I was wondering what are my options for mp3 players and RECORDERS when I want to record band practice?


anybody have any recommendations? ... a mic or line in would be very appreciated ... hopefully any CF based devices - but I am open to discussiòn

"Mp3-recorder/player-CF-mic/line_input" device says only one thing to me:

the Tascam Pocketstudio 5!

Unfortunately, the PS5 was discontinued a while ago, and is not available as new, (unless you can search and dig one up new/retail), & is now an Ebay-type item!

Note: the Tascam Pocketstudio 5 is a 4-track mp3 multitracker with built-in midi tone module, midi-sequencer/arranger. There's a lot in that little unit!

Don't forget about minidisc. You can pick up a great portable recording rig for peanuts.
