Moving the noisy computer

I am hoping to move my computer into the next room. The concern is with the sound card. I have a Delta 66; would it be better to extend the cable to the breakout box or leave the breakout box next to the computer and use ¼ inch audio cables to run the distance? The distance would be just within 18 ft.

I have already done my version of that. The system I have is a little crazy because it is actually a server and has 5 case fans in a hot swap case. So basically just for the price of some cable it’s going to be cheapest just to move it.

I Spoke with a friend of mine that runs audio cable professionally and seems to think I would be better off leaving the cable in-between the breakout box and the computer alone and running the length with standard cables. This will give me better insulation between the channels.

Can anyone tell me how good are the Hosa or Cable up snakes? Are they worth the money or would I be better off staying away?
