MOTU CueMix?

I am a little confused about this program and I can't seem to find a real definite definition of what it does. Obviously it has something to do with mixing the levels as it comes into the computer from, say the 8Pre. Is this a sequencer for mixing that would be equilvilent to Cubase or Logics duties, or is it kind of a middleman between the two?

It allows you to monitor incoming audio in real time. It doesn't take the place of a software recording/editing program.

Yup, it's just a mixer.

You can set up to 4 busses to make things like monitor mixes or route audio to outboard fx gear.

That's all.

(Generally, you set it up once and forget it unless you have a special need - from then on you control everything with your software sequencer.)
