Motu 828 Monitor Knob question.

Hello.

I have a Motu 828. It has a Main Volume Knob and Monitor Level Knob. The main volume knob works but I can not get the Monitor Level knob to work.

Now at one point I had an 828 MkII and I remember there being a virtual mixer that you use on your computer. Is that the case for the original as well.

Also. Where can I find a owner manual for this?

Yeah. Google isnt coming up with stuff really.

I just want to know how the Monitor knob is used to see if there is a way to use it in my current setup.
 
So I was just showing my friend a track I was working on in Logic and decided to look in to my situation.

Apparently it is for Monitor input. Not my monitor speakers. Which kinda makes sense.

So now it seems that I can pump up an input with out raising the gain and make it louder for me and or the performer to hear. Or so you can kill an the out put of the track that has said inputs and raise the input monitoring for high latency setups.
