motu 828 install problem, help please

im trying to install the software for my motu 828. I get an error message that reads, "16 bit windows subsystem: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT.
The System file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications."

does anybody know whats up? im currently searching the motu tech forum to see if i can find the answer.

That file has a known history of getting corrupted on XP Windows systems.

Just for future reference, a major tool in troubleshooting an error message is to put at least a part of the error message in quotes into a google search. For instance, just googling "The System file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications" including the quotes returned this result as the first hit. This is exactly the problem you're having and exactly how to solve it. Google's power to search for error messages is absolutely amazing. BTW, I've had this errer happen myself on other applications...it's not a Motu thing.

yea i fixed it. i put in "16 bitwindows subsystem" i found out i needed to copy a file. thanks

the mods can delete this post if they want
