Motherboard for Intel Q6600

I think I'm going to get an Intel Q6600 processor. What would be a good motherboard to get for it? My main priority is recording. From having a search online I see that many now have several audio channels. I'm guessing this is not needed for me as my soundcard takes care of all that?
So what would be a good stable one to get without spending a fortune? Or what tips can fellow musos give me on mobos?

I have the Intel DP35DP board with the same processor as you have. And I use the E-MU 1212m sound card. Works pretty good.

Some people prefer Asus boards over Intel. I've never used one so I can't say firsthand if they're comparable or not.

Regardless of what board you install, it will crap out in about 4 years due to the capacitor problem.
