I need to buy a new electronic hi hat was looking on Thomann and saw there is a mono version and a stereo version. I use Superior Drummer in DAW

Not saying I'm going to buy either of these just want to know what the difference is and would it make a difference when recording

Mono Version

Stereo Version

the mono pad is a single zone pad (only registers hits in one part of the cymbal)

the stereo pad has two zones and a cymbal choke sensor.

the difference it would make would be to give you more trigger zones on your hihat top and edge , the choke would be nogood to you because hihats dont have them so superior drummer has no sounds or software support for this trigger,as a cymbal it would be fine but most software drum programs do no include sounds for the bell on crash cymbals, ride cymbals however do and support is included for all 3 triggers.
