mono to stereo

I'm basically recording two tracks
with a cascade m20 that runs through a firewire 410

track one is an acoustic guitar track

track 2 is a vocal track

after I mixdown the files, I play the mixed down track in edit view and the sound comes out stereo.

If I play the same mixed down track in other other media player the sound comes out mono and sounding like shit, how do I fix this?

It depends of panning.
If you exported as stereo mixdown and they both were centred in the middle you achieve effect of mono track.
In edit view you probably see two tracks (Stereo) but I suppose they are just the same (2 X MONO)
Usually are both vocal and bass panned centred and for achieving stereo you should play a little with double tracks and stereo effects.
Have you considered adding two guitars to your multi section?
