Mono C01U Samson microphone

When I record, I make sure to put it on Stereo, but when I take the file out of Sonar LE, the audio is still mono. Why is that?
Any solution? Thanks in advance.
 
Unless you are using a stereo microphone (or two microphones in a stereo pair), you won't get a stereo signal. What are you recording that you need to be in stereo?

Rarely are vocals recorded in stereo. Just record it in mono and pan it accordingly. Applying a bit of stereo reverb or delay after the track is recorded will give it more depth/image, also.
