monitor speaker cable

i have some new monitors that only have xlr inputs and my sound card outs are trs now i'm going to make the cables what cable sould i buy or use i have some mic cable but do monitors use a diferent cable(shielded ect...)

i am looking to make good cables with good quality parts to get the best out of the monitors.
 
xlr??? we can assume then that these are a powered pair right??? then any balanced cable with xlr-trs will work... diy?? good for you... if you're not comfortable doing it though then i reccomend redco.com
