Monitor hook up question?

I just purchased a pair of KRK RP-5 monitors. Here is my question.
What is the best way to hook them up to my system?
My choices are:
Directly from my sound card - Santa Cruz Turtle Beach(rca unbalanced) or
from my Behringer Eurorack UB1202 Mixer(1/4" balanced).

I say the mixer b/c u will have more hands on control over the sounds when monitoring your sounds. But note either way will work.

I too would say the mixer.

The mixer probably has a controlroom volume control. This comes in handy for adjusting the volume of the monitors.
