monitor advice

Need info on some monitors. I am going to be purchasing some new studio monitors and would like some advice on what you all like to use or don't. Looking to spend around 1000 - 1200 for 2 and a sub. I am mixing and editing mostly demos or indie albums. They need to be accurate but not TOO expensive. Have been looking at active monitors like the tannoy reveal, anyone have an opinion on those. Also have heard alot about the new alesis mk11. Those are considerably cheaper so I assume they are probably not in the same ballpark for accurracy or are they? I would rather spend more to get an accurate sound rep but not if I don't have to. Again I know my price range is limited and the quality is not going to be pro studio, but thats okay for the work I do. Thanks for the insight- I got alot of good advice on the last thread I posted.

check out the yamaha msp5s.i love mine!
every mix i have done with them has translated well to other systems.
you can get two monitors and the sub for around $700.

I would recommend Yorkville YSM1's (powered or unpowered, I have powered.) They're good, working wonders for me. They go for around $400 or so.
