mo phatt/ planet phatt question

I have a broken planet phatt. The dial is broken. I opened it up and its REALLY broken. the pieces inside are smashed. Anyway, I cannot dial through the sounds. I do have a mo phatt. Is is possible to put the rom from the planet phatt inside the mo phatt? Will it work? I purchased the planet phatt about a year and a half ago and still havent had a chance to hear more than 3 kits.

I dont see a problem with that, how many ROM slots does it have? my EMU MP-7 has 4 slots.

it has 2 (i think) i just ordered an xl7 rom chip for my mo phatt (Lookin for more sounds). I was not sure if it (mo phatt n planet phatt) was compatible because they are 2 completely different machines. The planet phatt was the older model with 8 megs of sound. Then the mo phatt came along later with 32 megs.

Yes. You can take the rom out of the Planet Phatt and put it in the Mo phatt.

you could also hook it up through midi and use another keyboard to send patch changes

I went into the planet phatt and it doesnt have a chip on a memory type of stick like the Mo Phatt does. It is not interchangeable. I thought about using midi to change patches, but im not sure what im gonna do. I got it for about 120.00
