MMC MOTU MTP-AV and Tascam TM-D8000

I everyone;

Just trying to get a handle on transport control ( Midi MAchine Control)

I'd like to try to run the transport control on the tascam via the MOTU MTC generator and have it drive the transport control in SONAR XI.

Anyhow, I'm a little confused as to how this should be set up midi flow wise..

Anybody got some thoughts on MMC/MTC and the above
