Im using a 8 in / 8 out firewire card (Edirol FA 101). I need to connect a mixer up to it as only the first 2 input channels have pres. What im wondering is if i can conect it up via the send part of an insert point - or do i need the desk to have direct outs on each channel? i ask because if i can use the insert point option it can save me some very valuble money (im a broke student!)
