Anybody have experience with the Behringer 1602A? It looks like an interesting mixer but I haven't heard too much about it. Is it comparable to the Mackie 1202VLZ? Any comments on the unit would be appreciated.
I use the slightly bigger brother of the 1602, called Behringer Eurorack MX2004A. I'd been using a 12-ch Ram Pico Mixer a wile back and I thought it was pretty shit-hot. But the Behringer is like getting a new pair of ears by comparison. Very similar to the smaller Mackie's in many ways. Extremely quiet, lots of headroom and easy to run a hot signal. Lots of routing options. I needed a 4-bus mixer for HD recording though. So far I really like it. And the main thing for me was it was a LOT cheaper than Mackie. If I has the dough I would have bought Mackie though.
