mixer decision

My first setup included using a computer studio system with an external 16 track mixer for sound modules and mpc 2000. I have since purchesed a digital audio workstation (Korg D1600) , but I still want to use the computer sequecer especially for editing. I want to know, would I be able to eliminate the external mixer I had been using since the digital workstation ( Korg D1600) has it's own mixer?

Yeh I think you'll be able to record on the KORG and then come out of the back into computer

Thanks

Yeah: I think you're right. I just felt it necessary to get the opinion of others. Thanks for the information.

If you already have a decent 16-track mixer, chances are it's a better one than the one in the Korg. The mic preamps expecially are probably superior. If you have it already, you might want to keep it and use it.
