Thx for mixing and about that drummer...

Manor Music is a 2 car garage studio and we record as such with pawnshop mics....
Actually we're buying a few mics for the kick and snare....

I am a hobby amateur and I recorded that song before I got all hooked up with homerecording.com now I am learning more

I did like your mix...
I mixed it and I took out alot of the lead guitar,
so it was suprising to hear it again after listening to my mix many times without it....

did I tell you that is my band?
and that drummer ...

he was a soft handed, Ringo-kit using liberal...he was another one of them folk-rock crossovers who thought they could rock, but just didn't have the soul/gut for loud shit like SPOV
this was my 4th drummer in 6 years? 5th?


Anyway...he quit the band to meditate...not cross your legs and meditate, but chant the many names of God for hours on end...hoping that all your material wants and possesions would fall to the side...or some shit like that

can we cuss in here?

Listening to each track..They all sounded good except the drums....Maybe someday you can get a drummer to re-do the drums...Anyway your welcome and best of luck !

Hey there,

Well here is another mix

The recording itself is not the only problem.
No groove + bad timeing = no good mix

The drums are all over the place, timeing and accentuation
Maybe a little less distortion on the lead guitar. The solo guitar is fine.
For a live situation its fine. LESS is MORE for a recording !!!
Thats just what I think.

Mix with New Drums

As DirkZuber comments the tempo is all over the place. I did a drum track to give you an idea of how much better the song sounds with good sounding drums. It is as close as I can get it to matching the erratic tempo. Spent a couple of hours on the tempo track to get the drums as close as possible. I would suggest for future recordings to put a click track down to help keep the tempo consistent....
