MIDI/USB to Mac Problem =(

Hello,

I've recently bought a iMac, and Logic Pro 9.

I have a keyboard, and a MIDI to USB cable to connect my keyboard to the mac. But, the mac doesn't seem to recognize it when it's connected?

I've looked all over the net. The drivers for the cable are apparently included, so i'm not sure why i can't use my keyboard?

Any help is much appreciated!

The drivers for the cable are included with what? Did you actually install drivers?

What kind of keyboard is it? Have you tried selecting your keyboard as a MIDI device in Logic? A lot of the time USB devices won't pop up and tell you they've been plugged in.

i've had the cable a while now, it's this; http://www.globalgroupbuy.com/product_info.php?products_id=6594

and it says it had 'built in drivers'

Logic doesn't pick it up either so no luck there. It might be the cable being faulty, but i guess the only way i'll find out is by buying a new one

Click on "About this Mac". It's under the Apple menu. Then on "More info". That will open System profile. Look under the entry for USB if the cable is detected. If it's not present there, it's either faulty, or not Mac compatibe. The latter is likely, since it's hardware with a built-in Windows driver.

Oh, and BTW, don't you have warranty on that cable?
