Hey,could someone answer me this...i want to trigger my Fostex FD8 from cubase to record when i press record on the transport bar in cubase...i can trigger the FD8 to play already but i am failing to get it to record when i trigger it...! Help.........Thanx
 
Not familiar with the FD8, but if you put it in external sync mode and set it to record, won't it wait for the signal from Cubase to start?

We went through this with an ADAT setup, this was our solution (couldn't get it to do what you're talking about).

Thanx man........i have the fostex fd8(didgi multitracker) synced to cubase and that works fine ie when i want to record from the fd8 onto cubase it works fine but if i want to trigger the fd8 to start to record all it does is start to play...is there some setup in cubase that i can set up to tell the fd8 to record??
