I am wondering if I can use the analog left and right outs of the sr16 machine and go directly into my mixer instead of using the midi out, if I were to use a drum pad as a trigger which will go midi with the drum machine? I hope I'm wording this correctly.
I would use a yamaha drum machine toy like thing that has midi in and out, I use the midi to go to the sr16 drum machine for its sounds instead of the yamaha. I believe I need to program the two so that they can work together.
However, I think I'd like to use the left and right outs of the alesis and go directly into my mixer because it seems less of a headache. My delta soundcard has midi in and out, and ntracks says it can do midi, but I feel I'd have better control if I use my mixer.
