Mics for a vocal band

My group and I are on the verge of being semi-professional. We sing a cappella and have been doing that for a long time . We sing some complex, tight, intricate, full 6 part harmonies. As a group, our vocal range is very wide: we have a bass that rumbles a few octaves below middle C and some very high 1st tenors that can shatter glass.(u know i am playing). I know I need different mics for each part for the best production.....and my knowledge is almost zero on mics . any advice on what hardware to get is fully appreciated . keep in mind that there is a lot of percussion and beat-boxing, do i need a separate mic for that too???

help.

Do you want to record the group or use the mics live?

For studio-work, for almost every voice a nice condenser is ok, for live try the sennheisser E-series, they work great on higher voices, and good on the lower.
Maybe a shure sm58 (beta!) for the lower.
