Hey guys, I have drums to record today with Rototoms on the kit. I've never recorded rotos before so here's what I came up with and thought I'd put it to the group for consideration/advice. Picture below of what I came up with. I have two constraints: low ceiling and only two inputs left after micing the rest of the kit. So I went with two SDCs underneath and in between the three Rototoms. Should I go with dynamic mics instead? Should I go with different mic position/placement? Thanks guys! And let's just go ahead and get to Rototom jokes out of the way first or should we wait until after?
