Right meow i'm using a couple of cheap AT P650R's for overheads, sm57's for snare and toms, and cheat AT kitpak mic for my bass drum. I really need a new kick mic and I'm seriously considering the shure beta52. I actually think my overheads, but I think its only because I've never heard better overheads in person. I play metal and i like a nice deep sounding kick with a bit of a high end click to it. Would the beta52 be good?

ive been told that the AKG d112 is better for punchy kick drums
