Mic Setup for a live MC

OK, I am DJing at a party on the 20th, and I have an MC. I want to set up the equipment so that he sounds good. Can anyone recommend what I should do? Run his voice through a compressor maybe?

I wouled just use a decent Sure mic, the SM58. Classic mic, you won't need to compress anything, maybe add a touch of 'verb, and scoop about 1db from mid freq.
