Mic hookup to Delta 1010lt

hello all,

I'm upgrading my native PC soundcard to a Delta1010LT.

My question is - what is the best way to get dynamic mics into the 1010? I don't want to spend a lot, but don't want a bad path into the card either. The 1010 inputs are R/L female RCA. The only feasible path I've found so far is a $13 XLR to 1/4" transformer for each input, then a 1/4" Female to 2 RCA male adapter. This will cost me about $80 just to make the transfer. I'm also not to keen on lots of adapters in the signal path. Is there a cheaper way, or a cable that will get me from a mic to the RCA inputs of the 1010? Or, would I be better served from a mixer or pre that has seperate RCA outs?

you need a mixer like a yama mg (95 bucks).
inser out of mic channel on mg to delta line input. peace.
this will save the adaptor cost.

I've got a Behr UB802, but there is only one out. Does the yama have seperate RCA outs for each channel?

kevin. you shouldnt plug into the sound card directly.
yes the ub should do the job. come out of the insert on the mic channel
( i think the ub has this) or out of the UB's other outs.

OK - I'm confused!

That's my whole point of getting a better sound card. To be able to multitrack (especially drums) simultaneously.
