Metal Hubs for 1/2" Tape Reels, in Boxes - Are They Worth Anyting?

Can I safely assume that my dozen old metal hubs for 1/2" audio tape, in their original boxes, are worthless? I don't have any flanges.
If not, make an offer, though I think the post office might charge as much as $3 apiece for shipping.

That's twice i've done that today.

Metal hubs have advanatages over plastic. Sell them two or three in a lot and save someone on shipping costs. Or five in a lot. They are better than plastic. Plastic beat them out in lower cost, so everyone switched over.
