IMHO DBX 160 (whatever version) is much better on drums, although the RNC is OK.

DBX is also better on bass than the RNC (which really doesn't work that well for bass which FMR Audio acknowledges), but I like the Symetrix 501 even better.

Keep in mind that the RNC is a stereo (but not dual mono) unit, while the DBX 160 and Symetrix units are only mono.

my modest list: furman pl-8 II and rp-8, echo audiofire12 and audiofire4, gyraf g1176 limiter, langevin dual vocal combo, 2x a-designs p-1's in a 500hr rack, orban 536a de-esser, soundcraft m-8 mixer.

Actually, I have way more than I need for my little project studio. I need to upgrade the quality and pare down the volume. I think all the Symetrix stuff (except the 501) will go as will the Aardvark. I think the Antares unit can go too - don't use it enough. I also have a raft of nice, but nothing special, mics that could go to new homes as well. Just have to find the time to do the sorting.

How much did you get the flux capacitor for? Ive been looking all over for one.

1 x MOTU Traveler (Black Lion modified) - always used - currently not racked
1 x breakout box for Digi-001 - not used - currently not racked
1 x Ashley SC-40 instrument preamp (modified) - occasionally used
2 x ACMP-73 preamp/eq - still setting up / testing
2 x ACMP-81 preamp/eq - still setting up / testing
1 x Symmetrix 525 compressor/limiter - haven't yet used
1 x Art 4x4 Power Base - not racked or used - will probably use as project box
1 x SoundCraftsmen graphic EQ - not used

Does stuff that mounted/able on rack trays count? Assuming so:

2 x M-Audio DMP2 - occasionally used
1 x Presonus Inspire 1394 - frequently used by my son
1 x Presonus Tube pre - rarely used
1 x Art Tube MP (heavily modified) - rarely used

I used to have a flux capacitor, but I had to give it to this block-buster guy because I turned in my movie after midnight - it was kinda old, anyway
