Im still pretty new to the whole DAW processes
And im still using my zoom for the basic recording and EQing but im now transferring everything over to reaper for ease of use so I can tinker for my final edit for but im looking for some pointers for the final master ie plug-ins and any tips in general for a nice loud and full sounding end result.

Thanks

Scott

I'm no mastering engineer but when I want to make a mix louder, I will usually use a saturating plug, a bus compressor with a low ratio and a peak limiter, so that I get a smooth movement into loudness without squashing the mix. You may need a 2bus EQ as well, if your compression/limiting plugs change your sound dramatically - which can happen. I find that either the highs become brash or the low end piles up on itself.

And once again, I have to ask.....are we talking about mixing or mastering here?

OK, yeah. Re-reading your post, it's clearer. I originally got thrown off by this:
transferring everything over to reaper for ease of use so I can tinker
, which is why I thought you might be talking about mixing and calling it mastering.
