I have this mic, and thus far have no complaints.

Given that it goes for around $80 these days, I'd say it's quite incredible for the money. I've heard various samples of it on the web over the past year or so (check out the mp3 clinics here and on other boards) and I've always been impressed.
Just one example: I heard an mp3 of a guy once who was playing acoustic guitar and singing some sort of folksy-blues stuff. I was very impressed with the sound. Everything was just so real, dynamic, and 3-D. I emailed him and ask what mic he was using, expecting a Neumann or something like that. He wrote back and said he used the MXL 67G on everything!
If all my spare change wasn't funding another project right now, I’d own one myself. Oh, well, I’ll get one soon enough...
I think the 67G would work well on R&B, but if you want to spend >$200 there’s other (though not necessarily better) mics to consider.
