Hey, I'm purchasing A MOTU (Mark of the Unicorn) 896. Will this work with most multi track recording software and can I multi track simultaneously with this on most software? Anybody even ever heard of this cool little toy? Check it out at MOTU.COM and tell me what you think.
 
Ah, sweet! You're a life-saver. I've been saving up for this forever and they don't have much info on any suggested software. It does come with software but unfortunately it's for Mac OS. I'd hate to buy this thing and not have a way to use it.
 
Should work fine with most all SOFTWARE.

With it coming into the computer through a firewire card how does the software handle this since it's not coming through the soundcard? Or am I misunderstanding something?
