hey guys, I was wondering if any of you could tell me about this plug in??? I have seen it used for mastering fx?? wat is it used or, what does it do???? whats the best way to use it??
thankyou

magneto is supposed to simulate 'analog compression'...which means it increases 'apparent loudness', but it isn't actually raising the volume...thats how it works in theory...magneto can be used on individual tracks...on the mix bus...mastering wherever u think it fits...just use ur ears....its extremely easy to use so you'll know right away if it works or not....

I have understood it emulates the old mastering trick of recording your mixes in reel-to-reel on saturation levels (meter pushing red) and taking them immediately out throuh the repro head.

A good trick when needed, and extra advantage is that i get backups of my mixes on 468 tape :) . I haven't tested the plug, so of that i know nothing.
