What is a safe distance to store your tapes or recorder from magnetic fields? Unfortunately, I'm resticted to my bedroom at the moment which is filled with speaker cabinets, television, computer monitor, ect...

I'm in the same boat, Bedroom, that is.
Depending on the strength of the magnetic field, speakers being the most likely offender, I would use a minimum of 3 feet as a decently safe distance to work with so that I could sleep at night without worrying about it.
