Hard2Hear New member Jul 2, 2005 #2 Maybe a miscommunication and its a Hartke? Mackie doesnt build bass amps. They DO build power amps, which could be used for bass...but they do not have tubes in them. H2H

M mcolling New member Jul 3, 2005 #4 Odd. He definitely says it is a Mackie. I suppose it could be a power amp, which would be usable -- but not ideal, I'm sure. Could it be that Mackie made bass amps in the past, but discontinued them?

battleminnow What's this button do? Jul 3, 2005 #5 I am pretty sure Mackie never made bass amps. I have seen quite a few bass rigs with the Mackie as the main amp. Usually like an i1400 or something.
