Macbook pro vs powerbook

Hello,

I own a powerbook g4 (1 GB ram, 1,5 Ghz ), and Iam currently using PT 6,9 and Ableton Live 5 .
Iam thinking of going for the macbook pro (2 Ghz, 512 ram) but I will like to know first :

1) Would me system run better and faster allowing me to use more plugins and tracks ?

Does Pro Tools work on the Intel machines yet? If so, then probably yes. The G4 is a dog slow chip by comparison. If not, then no. I don't think PT works in Rosetta.

Pro Tools still is not intel ready. But it should be pretty soon. Digi is always on top of these changes. I would wait and get the Macbook Pro when PT will work with it. That will be awesome rig.
