M Audio OCTANE

I'm in the market for a new mic preamp and I'm looking at the M Audio Octane. It is an eight channel preamp for around $600 and I've read many great reviews on it. Before I take the plunge, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Octane or perhaps have suggestions for an alternate preamp for about the same price.:drunk:
 
I definitely recommend the Octane preamps. The sound is beautiful and the technology is very well designed. The Octane finally made me leave my Groove Tubes Brick for it and I've been happy since then. As for other preamps in the same price range, I really think that the Octane is best for that price range. It has many design awards and renowned engineers use it all the time.
