looking to buy a compressor

im looking to buy a compressor that will fit my needs for my small home studio and fit my relatively tight budget (about 250 bucks). I need it to be able to work effectively with drums/ percussion, bass, vocals, and possibly saxophone,

I would like to know, out of these options, which would best fit my needs:

BBE MaxCom
Behringer T1952 Tube Composer
dbx 166XL Dual Compressor Limiter
Alesis 3630 Dual-Channel Compressor/Limiter
 
FMR's RNC. Or just use plugs - You're going to get better performance from plugs at that price range. And you certainly don't need to record through a compressor...
