Looking for used EV 635A's

Okay I want to know who is running up the prices of these things on e-bay?

Please stop.

When I first read about them they were supposed to be very inexpensive used, extremely durable and pleasant for an omni dynamic mic. Prices were described as $20 -$35 used.

Being I don't have any omni dynamics I was ready to spend $40 -$70 for two or $20-$35 for one but I have not seen one go for less than $80.

They are good simple dynamic omni's at the lower price but quit paying more so I can afford some.

Just keep looking. Now might be a good time, since people are apt to be away for the holiday weekends and might be less likely to be on their computers. It is possible to get one cheap...I paid $30 for one of eBay about a year ago.

I think I ended up paying around $60 including postage about 18 months ago for one off of eBay. There are other EV mics out there that you might find available for a lower price at eBay or even at a pawnshop. I've got an overview of Electro Voice mics for your perusal.
