I recently purchased an Akai S2800 Sampler. I've been sampling for years now. I have primarily been using an Roland S-330 Loaded with patches and loops, and an Ensoniq Mirage (tried and true) it still works giving me that "old skool" dirty feeling. I like the S-330 primarily for Hip-Hop, and some R&B. When using the S-330, I try to keep whatever sounds that I use, i keep the volume down on them and use them in the "background".
I would like to be able to use my Akai S2800 to the fullest.
It has a really clear, pristine type of sound to it...mostly like a sound module. Can anyone tell me what disks would be good for turning the Akai into a module-as far as sounds go?
