PS> I know your going to be jealous of our fancy webpage :p

Chix with dix, eh?:D Sounds pretty damn good Joe, to be so minimalist in tracking.

LMAO!

No one would buy what we are doing.... It is all free... No Spam.

The whole album will be on that page for free download, with tracks appearing as we make them.

Listened to 1 and 3.

Hey, this is nice. Dirty...but nice. Pretty big ass punk bass sound, Christiaan.

Guitars tend to be a bit TOO dirty for my taste. Do I hear crackles and pops? Do you even care ;) LOL :D

the guitar tone on The Heart Song still sucks ass but the rest rocks......

I really like the Happy Place vibe....sounds easy to strip to.....

can I have autographs and soiled panties?......

You'll have to ask rats, I left them at his house..:p

Hey somebodys got to do it. Listened to avoid it. Not that bad actually. Great concept, great web site, some very clean punk comparitivly speaking.....

Cool sound. Very dirty but still good. I believe this is the sound you've been going for these days, Vox. I've heard your old stuff and I know how clean you can make these sound if that's what you wanted.

Thanks alot guys.... Really appreciate your comments and taking the time to listen..

Bored of trying to sound like everything on the radio, and spending hours and hours eq'ing a little hi-hat or backing vocal...

Just wanted to let loose on this project.. I find it "fun" to listen back to... I don't get that with my Voxvendor stuff.

Joe

VOXVENDOR,

I checked out the second track, Happy Place.

Cool little tune! I liked the vocals. Nice singing and tracking of them.

The rhythm guitar was well played and the fuzz tone reminded me of an old Electro-harmonix Big Muff pedal I used to have back in the 70's. I guess the lead/accompany part was the same guitar and same effect? A few uniquely decided notes near the end of the track there.

The drums sounded good in the mix. The kick was very audible probably because of the upper frequencies that seemed to be boosted in it. The cymbals were a touch distorted and phasing but not bad over all.

The bass part was hard to hear and at first, I thought there was no bass but after straining to listen for it, I could hear it a bit in the second half of the track. Maybe bring that up a bit?

Good pop tune, over all!

Cheers! :)

Oh!

I almost forgot!

The website was really cool!

I think I have seen similar designs elsewhere on some old porn sites from around 1999.

Nice touch! :D

Listened to "Heart Song". Great work, Vox. You're clearly more advanced than I am in this game, so I have nothing to suggest. Just keep it up.

i listened to happy place.
i like the drum sound. one mic huh? that bass drum sounds real present for coming through a single overhead.

edit....by the way i really like the song.

Heheheh....

Cool song there, Joe...

I got this 1950's alternative slam thing outta it.

Felt like doing the stroll in a line, while slamming into chicks in Poodle Dresses.

Your quote: "No one would buy what we are doing.... "

Don't be TOO sure of that...I'd steal a tune lke that for my band ;)

I couldn't hear the bass part, either...Maybe you should get a bass player who puts the bass in your face. ;)
(Sorry, Christiaan...You probably rock, I just can't hear it)

Not gonna comment on the mix, production, etc, as you were going for that lo-fi sound, and you nailed it, buddy!

See ya soon.

I love the 2 new tunes man.I like the first one you posted but the fuzz guitar was a bit of a shock after listening to your polished stuff for over a year now.I see clearly where you are coming from now with these tunes and I truly dig it.These tunes have strong catchy hooks throughout......I can only imagine what they would sound like with a full on production.:D

Enjoyed all 3 tunes man!

It's there. Tracking is an engineering art in itself and I'm still learning. But don't worry. At least one of the next songs will be all bass-no guitar. :D

wussup SHEMAIL....:D

Cool collab here fellas..... ..good fun, ...exactly what this is supposed to be. I listened to heart song. At the opening of the tune, the way the guitar tone contrasts reminds me alot of sonic youth. ...It go's more into a pop thing after the intro ..then at the bridge more sonic y. I likey. This is actually cool stuff man. I hear alot of old grunge in this tune as well.... ...like something off of the "Singles" soundtrack. I enjoyed this alot! ...and on top of all of that, the filesizes you posted are wonderful.... ...allows me to go back and hear all of the tunes.... ...big thumbs up from a dial up loser:( :)
