Line6 DL-4 right into a Firepod?

Another newbie question I hope you guys can help with...

I was wondering if I could run my guitar into a Line 6 DL-4 and then right into a Firepod. I am new to the whole pedal thing, having used modelers and multi-effects for a long time.

For that matter, can any floor effects pedal be plugged into the firepod and recorded directly?

Micing my amp is not something I have been too successful at..

This will work but I can't say much about the quality, the amp should have an XLR out which would act as a direct box. If you want to plugin pedals I'd recomend buying a seperate DI box, I use DIs from Radial and ahve worked with country men which are awesome.
