Line 6 UX1 Laptop problem

Weird problem. UXB 1 works fine on Advent laptop when I am upstairs. However, if I move downstairs, the screeching from the UX1 is unbearable! If I plug UX1 into my Acer laptop, the screeching doesn't happen! What exasperates the problem is the sound cuts out on the Acer intermittently when I am using the UX1! Anybody have a solution?

Use it upstairs?
 
Sorry Keyster, but you've stumped me... either issue would be expected from a sync problem with digital audio... and it's a USB interface. I'd suspect driver issues... but the upstairs downstairs thing... whew

No they won't. You'll just get answers like the one above. I would disable any on-board wi-fi card and it's adapter and try again. I would also try both situations running on battery alone. Could be you have grounding issues in your home wiring.
