Lightpipe in/out at the same time

Hello.

When you are using a 8 channel preamp with your audio interface, can you run adat(lightpipe) in and out at the same time?

I am sure you can. I have just never done it.

That would depend completely on which preamps and interface you have. We need a little more info to help.

Ah that is true...

I have a motu 828, the original. Eventually I am pretty sure I am going to get a Presonus Firestudio Lightpipe(I think that is the name.) And am concerned about head phone mixes.

I am looking to get a Digimax FS as my A/D D/A preamp(s).

I would get the DigiMax and rock it with the Motu then when I get the FireStudio Light pipe. Then for the first while I would be concerned for my head phone mixes.

Oh yeah I use Logic. If that matters...
