Lexicon Omega and Sonar X1

Hi all,
I'm very new to recording but I have a lexicon omega and a laptop with sonar x1 installed on it. I have the drivers for the lexicon set to omega asio in the preferences settings. The problem I'm having is that when I pick the lexicon for the input of a track, I get no sound coming in to my laptop. If I run my pod xt in and set the program to its drivers, the program will actually show the audio coming in. For some reason I just can't get the same results with the omega. Any ideas on this?
 
Are you using the latest driver from Lexicon? Some companies make better drivers than others and from what I've heard with Lexicon, it's better to us ASIO4ALL. I could be wrong though :\
 
Also, when you get no sound from your speakers, does the computer show audio coming in?
