lexicon omega and ntrack

Hello:

This is my first post to this forum but I have learned a lot from reading threads in the past. I have been using the registered 3.2 version of ntrack studio for about 18 months and decided to upgrade to a 24 bit soundcard. I picked up the lexicon omega and instantly disliked the pro tracks demo that comes with it (of course I'm biased because I love ntrack) Problem is that I can't get ntrack and the omega to get along, I set the record sampling rate to 24 bit on ntrack, connect an electric guitar to the omega's instrument input, lay down a track and play it back only to hear a wall of loud static with the faint sound of the track behind it. Here's what I've tried so far:
I opened the preferences dialog box and selected the wdm drivers for the omga usb i/o's I've also gone to the windows sound manager and selected the lexicon usb for playback and record. But alas the wall of static prevails. If anyone out there is running ntrack with the omega please help me out! thanks

P.S. the O.S. is win XP Pro ver. :( 2002
